We are taking steps to help minimise the spread of COVID-19. These are in line with UK Government and Public Health England guidance.
We are currently “OPEN FOR BUSINESS” and will continue to operate as normal, with the following precautions in place:
MEETINGS: In order to minimise the spread of the virus, we are encouraging clients to correspond by email, telephone or letter, rather than in person. If you have any concerns regarding meeting or other aspects of your matter, please contact the solicitor responsible who will be able to advise on alternatives.
DISTANCING: Where coming to the office is unavoidable we are operating a sensible “distancing” policy, avoiding handshakes and other forms of close contact.
CLEANING: We are taking measures to ensure that all surface areas and doors are cleaned regularly. We have anti bacterial wipes available in reception and all meeting rooms which can be used by all clients.
ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS: We are encouraging, where possible, that all clients make payments electronically. We can take card payments over the phone or we can provide bank details in order for clients to make a bank transfer.
CLIENT INSTRUCTIONS: We are encouraging all new and existing clients to provide instructions either over the phone or by email. With regards to identification we advise that this is taken from the client outside, copies taken and the originals handed back. With regards to making a Will, we will arrange a telephone meeting so we can take instructions to enable us to draft your Will.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRING SIGNATURE: We will consider the circumstances of your matter, however, if it is a simple document such as a Contract and Transfer we will aim to send these to our clients by post with appropriate instructions. With regards to more complex documents and Wills we will operate our “distancing” policy. We are more than happy for clients to remain in their cars while we witness the signatures.
